The Forum offers support and befriending services if you are over 50 and living in the Telford & Wrekin area and:
– are feeling lonely and/or isolated and would benefit from regular contact and companionship
– need help getting out or would like to build confidence about going out
– need help with household tasks and shopping
– would like support to meet others by attending community groups and activities
– are struggling with low mood, anxiety, depression
– need support to cope with long term medical conditions (excludes personal care and giving medications)
– have dementia but are still living at home
However, you don’t need to fall into these categories to use the service, it may just be that you’d welcome someone to chat to on a regular basis.
Charges may apply.
Face to Face Support
We provide company and support through home visits, and/or accompanied outings – perhaps being accompanied on a gentle walk or trip to the park, shops or café.

Telephone Chat Scheme
Volunteers call at regular times for a friendly chat. The scheme has been proven to make a difference in terms of feeling less lonely and isolated, and that someone cares and has the time to listen and chat.
Or you may wish to be a volunteer caller, and help someone else and at the same time, benefit yourself too.
