Could you help support our Support and Befriending Project and make a huge difference helping to tackle loneliness and isolation?
We are recruiting a part time Community Link Worker to replace the current post holder who is taking retirement. The post involves contact with new clients, some home visiting, supporting our regular social groups, liaising with other organisations and related administrative tasks.
The candidate must display:
- Excellent communication skills, by phone and in person, with empathy and understanding, especially when dealing with vulnerable adults.
- Experience of admin work and good IT skills.
- An awareness and understanding of the issues affecting people in later life.
The position is home-based, however the post holder will be expected to travel to locations within Telford & Wrekin. Travel and other expenses are paid.
Part time 20 hours per week, (hours may be increased)
Temporary – 12 month period (may be extended)
Salary – £22126 pro rata
